Guatemala November 2022: Day 3

11/2/2022

Wednesday November 2, 2022

Day 3 of the Clinic

On our 3rd day, we set up a clinic in a village called Adelita-K,’chi mainly populated by the K’iches’ (descendants of the Mayans). Ruby, an 18-year-old local nursing student joined us. She has been an amazing translator for us with her quiet and gentle demeanor, allowing us to communicate with the people of the village. As well as being our translator, she has given us insight into the Guatemalan culture to help us better understand this part of the world.
Clinic volunteers speaking to patients.
Two children at the clinic.
Volunteers discussing patient care.
